Richard Butler is an
experienced litigation solicitor who combines legal skills training with
practice as a commercial mediator and solicitor advocate.
Formerly Head of corporate
and banking litigation at Norton Rose, Richard Butler is now Visiting
Professor of Dispute Resolution at Nottingham Law School and a freelance
trainer and training consultant. Courses which are within the scope of the
work done by Nottingham Law School are delivered through that organization.
Other courses can be delivered independently.
Since resigning his
partnership at Norton Rose, Richard Butler has had five years of experience
in delivering commercial and financial orientated courses in advocacy, case
management skills, arbitration and mediation. He has taught advocacy and
litigation skills in the United States, on mainland Europe and to a large
number of leading city and regional law firms in England.
